"Yarche" marathon, "Yanov Day", "Bratina",
"Etudes of the North" and Ax Day, held in the Tomsk region, entered
the top 200 best events of 2020 of the National Calendar of Events
EventsInRussia.com; 34 events were presented from the region, the press service
of the regional administration said.
Earlier it was reported that the All-Russian
competition "Top 200 Best Events of the Year" is held on the website
EventsInRussia.com (a federal project on the best tourist events of the Russian
Federation). The winners are chosen by experts, as well as residents of Russia
in an open vote on the website.
"The list of 200 best events of 2020 of the
National Calendar of Events includes seven festivals that take place in the
Tomsk region. <...> The hunter's festival "Big Amikan" in the
Verkhneketsky district, Asino festival-contest "Golden Birchbark",
international marathon "Yarche" ("Brighter"), festival of
Estonian culture "Yanov Day" in the Pervomaisky district, festival of
Cossack culture "Bratina" in Krivosheino", - is said in the
report.

The list also included the festival "Etudes of
the North" in the Parabel region and the Tomsk Ax Day.
In total, 1800 applications from 70 regions of Russia
were submitted to receive the status of "Best Event of the Year" in
2020, 34 of them were from the Tomsk region.
It was also reported that in 2019, three Tomsk
projects passed to the finals of the Russian Event Awards (national prize in
the field of event tourism): Ax Day, gastronomic festival "On Axes!"
and the festival "At Seven Lakes". "Ax Day" eventually won
the nomination "The best tourist event for the popularization of folk
crafts and trades". The project "At Seven Lakes" took the third place
in the nomination "Best partner (sponsor) project of a tourist
event".
