21 – RIA Tomsk. The regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor issued 344
phytosanitary certificates to Tomsk companies for the export of cedar nuts in
2019; in total, 6.55 thousand tons of nuts were exported from the region,
mainly to China (PRC), is reported on the the agency’s website on Tuesday.
"The
department of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Tomsk region in 2019 issued 344
phytosanitary certificates for export batches of cedar nuts with a total weight
of 6.554.48 tons", – is said in the report.
It is noted
that the volume of export of cedar nuts from the Tomsk region in 2018 amounted
to only 1.5 thousand tons.

The main
exporter of Tomsk cedar nuts in 2019 were companies from China (6.085 tons). In
addition to Chinese companies, pine nuts were supplied to Kazakhstan (420 tons),
Germany (41.95 tons), Belarus (5.2 tons) and Lithuania (2.5 tons).
Earlier it
was reported that in 2019 in the Tomsk region there was a high yield of cedar
nuts. At the beginning of October, 50 times more nuts were harvested than in
2018. The last similar harvest season was in 2012.
It was also
reported that in 2019, 56 Tomsk food producers exported their products to 30
countries. The export volume of wild plants and products from them amounted to
22.2 million rubles.
