more than 82 tons of Tomsk ice cream produced by Eskimos company and became the
leader in procurement among other countries; the total volume of export of this
type of product from the region amounted to about 104 tons, the press service
of the Tomsk department of Rosselkhoznadzor reported on Monday.
According to the agency, in 2019 the
specialists of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary
Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) examined ice cream produced by the Tomsk
company Eskimos, which was exported to China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan.
"More than 100 tons of ice cream were exported
from the Tomsk region in 2019", – the
press service said, adding that most of the products were shipped to Mongolia –
seven lots with a total weight of 82.2 tons.
It is specified that the company sent two
batches of ice cream to China (16.8 tons), and five batches (4.8 tons) to
Uzbekistan.
"Ice cream supplies to Mongolia began in 2016,
and over the following years the volumes gradually increased. The Mongols, like
the Chinese, tasted our ice cream ... (In this country) all kinds are in
demand, but mostly (consumers) like ice cream in waffle cups", – the
representative of the Eskimos company Tatyana Goncharova explained to the
agency.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, veterinary
surveillance in 2019 affected 147 consignments of animal products and feed,
which Tomsk companies sent to China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. So, in addition
to ice cream, 1177 tons of poultry meat were also sent to China, 2793 tons of bran,
691 tons of pork and 13.9 tons of poultry meat were sent to Mongolia.
