TOMSK, Feb 7 –
RIA Tomsk. Christ's College, part of
University of Cambridge, has compiled a list of 12 recommended foreign programs
for its students, it includes educational programs in philology of Tomsk State University (TSU), the university’s press service said on Friday.
"Christ's
College recommends its students to study at a foreign university for one
semester. In particular, the faculty of modern and medieval languages and
linguistics of the college advises students of the Slavic studies department of
12 programs of Russian and Ukrainian universities, including training at
TSU", – is said in the message.
It is specified
that the list included the program of included education in the direction
"Philology" of TSU. In particular, British linguists were interested
in the Tomsk educational program "Russian as a Foreign Language" and
theoretical courses in the Russian language – phonetics, lexicology and syntax.
"Included
education – is one of the most popular forms of study abroad among foreigners.
Before arrival, we will agree on an individual plan (learning agreement) with
each student, in which he includes disciplines relevant to his university. Then
the student comes to us and studies with Russian students together", – the
deputy dean of the TSU Philological Faculty on foreign citizens training

According to the
press service, today there are 3 thousand foreign students from 70 countries
study at TSU.
Earlier it was
reported that TSU improved its position in the rankinng of the QS British
agency, compiled for the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia for 2020.
The university climbed five lines and took the eighth line of the ranking,
which estimates 350 universities in total. At the same time, TSU took the first
place in Russia by the share of foreign students.
Christ's College

first few years it worked "illegally" – the king gave it a license
for educational activities only in 1446. At different times, there studied
naturalist Charles Darwin, politician and writer John Milton, admiral of the
British Navy and a member of the royal family Earl Louis Mountbatten, comedian
Sacha Noam Baron Cohen and others.
