TOMSK, Feb 7 –
RIA Tomsk. Two new fish processing plants
will be opened in the Tomsk region in 2020, construction of both has already
been completed, commissioning is underway there, and the opening will take
place no later than mid-March, the deputy governor for agro-industrial policy
and environmental management Andrey Knorr told reporters on Friday.
It was
previously reported that in 2019, work was underway in the Tomsk region on the construction
of two enterprises in the fishing industry – fish canning plant in the
Aleksandrovsky district and fish processing plant in Predtechensk near Tomsk.
According to the project, the Alexandrovsky plant will process more than 800
tons of river fish per year, 95% of which will be local raw materials.
"In 2019,
thanks to support from the regional budget, two new fish processing plants were
built on a turnkey basis – "Fish Theme" and "Alexandrovsk Canned
Food". The construction of both was completed, equipment was delivered,
commissioning is underway. Within a month, up to mid-March, we will be able to
open both of these plants", – Knorr said.
Earlier it was
reported that in the Aleksandrovsky district the plant is building bt LLC
"Kovcheg" ("Ark"), the total cost of the plant is 88
million rubles. The company plans to produce 16 types of canned fish. The
factory in Predtechensk is launched by the "Rybnaya Tema" ("Fish
Theme") company, known to Tomsk citizens with the chain of stores of the
same name. It is planned to produce more than 100 types of fish products, the
total production volume – is three thousand tons per year.

"The
fishing industry today – is one of which the region can be proud of ... The
volume of fish processing increased by 23% compared to 2018. This is 3.3 times
more than in 2012. The share of local fish products in processing enterprises
is about 40%. Now this share will only grow", – Knorr said.
According to
him, since 2014, 35 companies that produce and process fish in the Tomsk region
received state support from the budget for a total of 118.2 million rubles. In
2019, the volume of state support amounted to 81 million. In 2020, 75 million
rubles were allocated for these purposes in the budget. With these funds, it is
planned to begin updating the small fleet and fishing gear of the fishing
industry.
