TOMSK, Feb 25 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Miсran research and production company expects to open the "MIС Factory" training and production center for the production of microwave microelectronics products and training specialists in the coming years, the general director of the company Vera Paramonova told RIA Tomsk.
"We are working on the issue of opening of the training and production center "MIС Factory" (monolithic integrated circuits - Ed.). The process is planned to be completed in the coming years. This is one of the priority development projects that our company pays special attention to", – the interlocutor of the agency said without specifying the cost of the project.
According to her, the main goal of the project - is to establish the production technology of gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) for monolithic integrated circuits, as well as the production of small-scale batches of products of microwave microelectronics and radio photonics for Micran's own needs and market needs. One of the partners of the center will be Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics.
"The basis of the project - is the production of experimental and small-scale batches, including with the involvement of young specialists, who, as a rule, lack practice, therefore, after including training at the center, the student will be able to apply the knowledge gained in the production, creating products in the interests of Miсran and other customers", – Paramonova said.

She said that the center will be able to train technologists, designers, engineers, metrologists and other specialists in the production of microwave microelectronics and radio photonics.
The head of the enterprise added that the research and production center created within the framework of the project will be equipped with the most modern equipment. This will allow to provide services in the mini-foundry format (small plant), producing prototypes of products for the radio-electronic industry in Russia and abroad, technical universities, design centers and Micran.
Earlier it was reported that Micran specializes in the production of microwave radio electronics, including telecommunication equipment and instrumentation. The company has more than a thousand customers in Russia and abroad, and the geography of orders - is from the CIS to Asia and Africa countries. Micran's representative offices are located in Italy, Brazil, Vietnam and South Africa.
