RIA Tomsk. Students and teachers of Tomsk
universities on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science
will go on "vacation" from March 28 to April 5 – the press-services
of educational institutions reported on relevant decisions of the university administration
on Thursday.
Earlier it was
reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, March 25,
announced non-working the next week from March 28 to April 5 for all residents
of the country due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection. At the
same time, all life support structures will work.
Earlier it was
also reported that from March 16-18, all universities of Tomsk switched to
distance learning for a period of March 28, then the distance learning was
extended until April 30.

As the press
service of
Tomsk State University (TSU) previously reported, students and
teachers who have already switched to distance learning will not study and work
together with the whole country from March 28 to April 5.
Thanks to the distance
learning format, in the second semester at TSU 4500 courses were transferred
online. According to the rector Eduard Galazhinsky, an extra weekend will give
an opportunity, getting rid of the administrative burden, to make a full
transition to online education.
TPU
"Students
and teachers of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will go on extraordinary
holidays from March 28 to April 5, like all Russian universities. The
corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education
of Russia Valery Falkov to prevent the spread of coronavirus", – the press
service of TPU reports.
As noted with
reference to the first vice-rector of TPU Andrey Yakovlev, during the
extraordinary vacations at the university, the safe functioning of all infrastructure
facilities, including information technology, will be ensured.
TSUAB
"The rector
of Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) Victor Vlasov
signed orders on the university’s work in the coming month on March 26 ...
These documents, in particular, indicate that students are granted holidays
from March 28 to April 5, 2020, and distance learning in it will last until
April 30", – reports the press service of TSUAB.
It is added that
the necessary sanitary measures will continue in the academic buildings and
student dormitories of TSUAB, and the restriction on the presence of
unauthorized persons will continue to apply in the educational buildings and
dormitories of the university. The access control system has been operating on
the university’s campus since last week – to enter the building, it is
necessary to have an employee ID, student ID or student record book.
TSPU
According to the
press service of the university, at Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU)
the weekend period is introduced for employees and students: for students from
March 28 to April 5, for employees – from March 30 to April 3. The leadership
of TSPU recommends students and employees limit contact as much as possible,
avoid crowded places, public events, and strengthen compliance with personal
hygiene measures.
TUSUR
According to the
official order of the rector of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) Viktor Rulevskiy, posted on the website of the
university, for the purpose of preventive work among students and university
employees, students are provided with vacations from March 28 to April 5, 2020.
The rector also
ordered to ensure the safe functioning of the university’s infrastructure
facilities, including information and technology, during this period.
