universities, organized remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be
extended until June 1, the press services of universities told RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that due to the threat of the
spread of coronavirus infection in the Tomsk region from March 31 to April 30,
a regime of universal self-isolation is in effect. It was also reported that
universities have switched to distance learning according to the recommendation
of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
According to the press service of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), the decision to extend the remote format was made taking into
account the recommendations of the governor of the Tomsk region contained in
the relevant order.
"The educational process in TPU continues in full and,
so to speak, in the standard mode. We have developed technologies and tested
systems that allow us to conduct not only ongoing classes on online platforms,
but also intermediate certification, exams of any level and, if necessary,
entrance tests", – the press service quotes the first vice-rector of TPU
Andrey Yakovlev.
The press services of Tomsk State University (TSU),
Pedagogical University (TSPU), State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR), Siberian State Medical University (SSMU), State
University of Architecture and Building (TSUAB) also reported RIA Tomsk on the
extension of distance learning regime of classes until June 1.
