TOMSK, May 21 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU) launched a multi-channel hotline for applicants entering the university in 2020; the admissions committee including the collection of documents and the entrance examinations, will be held in an online format, the university’s press service said on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that in connection with the epidemiological situation on coronavirus, TSU was preparing for various options for the admission campaign, including the possibility of entering the university online. It was also reported that in connection with the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection, all universities in Tomsk will conduct an intermediate and final certification of students in 2020 online.
"Applicants have a lot of questions about the rules of admission, and we decided to organize a hotline. Usually we do this in writing format ... Now we have tried to quickly answer all the challenges of this year and additionally launched a hotline - in the classic version, multi-channel, by phone. It’s already started to work", - the secretary of the admissions committee Evgeny Pavlov is quoted in the message.

It is specified that the specialists of the TSU admission committee will answer questions from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 Tomsk time by multi-channel number: +7 (3822) 529-772. The university also plans to conduct a series of thematic webinars for applicants of TSU with answers to questions about how to enroll in targeted training, according to the results of the olympiads, to citizens of other states, how to take entrance tests in a remote format.
It is added that the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has approved a special procedure for admission to universities for 2020 - Tomsk State University will accept all applications and documents for admission remotely. Applicants can submit documents to the university through the Personal account of the TSU applicant. Acceptance of applications for any direction of preparation will begin on June 20, 2020.
It is specified that the exams, which the university conducts on its own, will also be held remotely. All rights of applicants for benefits, special rights for admission, targeted training are retained.
