It is noted that all foreign students were trained at the current TPU Nuclear Research Reactor, as well as in the medical laboratories of Siberian State Medical University and radiological canyon of Tomsk Regional Oncology Center. This is one of the main competitive advantages of TPU's international nuclear education programs.
"Nuclear medicine as an educational area includes three paths: production of radiopharmaceuticals, radiotherapy and radio diagnostics. And currently we have the only program in Russia that enables students - both Russian and foreigners – to choose any of these tracks", – the head of the TPU School of Nuclear Science & Engineering Oleg Dolmatov is quoted.
The topics of the master's theses of the first issue were formulated jointly with the Egyptian side. The state examination commission included a representative of Rosatom. All students defended their work to the highest grade and will receive diplomas of graduation with honors. Two of them applied to Rosatom for a quota for studying at the English-language post-graduate program at the TPU School of Nuclear Science & Engineering.
According to the press service, in 2018, with the support of Rosatom, an agreement was concluded between TPU and the Higher Council of Egyptian Universities on the implementation of a joint English-language master's degree program Nuclear Science and Technology. The program is implemented in three areas: "Nuclear Reactors", "Nuclear Medicine", and "Nuclear Safety and Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Materials".
