© РИА Томск. Павел Стефанский TOMSK, Jul 22 – RIA Tomsk. The Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin and the
Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Russia Markus Ederer agreed that the
fourth film festival of the EU countries, which is scheduled for autumn 2020,
will be held online, the press service of the regional administration said on
Wednesday.
According to the press service, Zhvachkin and Ederer
discussed cooperation in various fields via videoconference. Thus, they
discussed issues related to the visit of the German business delegation to
Tomsk, joint projects of Tomsk and Austrians in the timber industry, as well as
problems related to climate change and other issues.
"Separately, Sergey Zhvachkin and Markus Ederer
discussed the prospects for the fourth film festival of the European Union,
which traditionally takes place in Tomsk in the fall. The head of the region
and the EU ambassador decided to hold the festival this year in an online
format at the end of November", – is said in the statement.
Earlier it was reported that the film festival of the
EU countries has been annually held in Tomsk in the format of a film marathon
since 2017. Its program includes films of various genres, filmed in various
countries. All of them are shown in the original language with Russian
subtitles.
