According to him, an innovative "belt" of more than 210 partner companies created by TUSUR plays an important role in the formation of joint projects between the university and business.
In recent years, three regional centers of the National Technological Initiative have also become a platform for combining the interests of science and production, which were opened at TUSUR in topical end-to-end areas: wireless communication, the Internet of things, sensorics and quantum technologies.
"In the coming years, TUSUR will focus on the development of these high-tech areas, as well as microelectronics, a safe digital environment and cyber-physical systems, space sciences, engineering and biomedicine", - the press service said with reference to the rector.
Citations and International outlook
The inclusion of TUSUR in the rankings is also related to the publication activity and citation of scientific articles: since 2014, the number of scientific publications of the university employees indexed in the Scopus database has increased 3.5 times, the citation of articles has increased more than 20 times.
"In addition, TUSUR traditionally has a strong position in the field of International outlook (staff, students and research), thanks to the high percentage of international students studying at the university", - says the statement.
As the press service adds, when preparing the rankings, 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators grouped into five areas are used. In particular, citation rate of scientific articles, contribution to innovation, income from research activities, teaching quality, the degree of the university's globality, that is, its ability to attract the best employees and foreign students are taken into account.
