TOMSK, Oct 14 – RIA Tomsk. The Tomsk company "Mikrosplav" developed a mechanical sanitizer: the device is triggered by pressing on the pedal, eliminating the need to touch it with hands, does require a connection to electricity; the first batch was purchased by institutions and enterprises of the Tomsk Akademgorodok, the regional innovation portal said on its Facebook page.
According to the portal, currently existing sanitizers are most often containers with a manual dispenser, which cannot exclude the contact of people infected with coronavirus with healthy people. A more convenient alternative to "manual" devices are automatic ones, which have sensors and electrically spray disinfectant solution, but they require an electric point.
"Sanitizer "Stoyka dozatora SD-01M" ("Dispenser stand SD-01M"), offered by the Tomsk company, is mechanical, it does not require power and is triggered when one press a special pedal with foot. Any container with a dispenser can be fixed on it. It will be in demand in public places with high traffic of people - educational, trade and medical organizations, catering establishments", - says the message.
It is added that the device has already been purchased by scientific institutions and innovative enterprises of the Tomsk Akademgorodok, in particular the Tomsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, the Institute of High Current Electronics of the Siberian Branch of the RAS. Now the second batch of products is being prepared for release.
