TOMSK, Oct 15 – RIA Tomsk. The Tomsk Elecard company helped one of Nepal's state-owned TV channels establish live broadcasting on such online platforms as YouTube and Facebook by integrating its own developments with local ones; the peculiarity of the work was that it was completely carried out remotely, the director of the company Nikolay Milovanov told RIA Tomsk.
According to him, initially colleagues from the Nepal TV channel tried various solutions for live broadcasting to the Internet from various foreign companies, which did not bring success due to the price or quality of the developments. After that, an order was made for Elecard, a test operation of the development was carried out and after a while - the final implementation. However, it was not without structural constraints.
“The development of the Internet in Nepal is only at an early stage, the level and quality of signal transmission is suffering, and this is important for HD broadcasts on sites such as YouTube or Facebook. Thanks to our support, the engineers of the TV company were able to implement the product in their difficult conditions. For Nepal, the start of broadcasting state channels to major Internet platforms is a landmark event", - he said.
The interlocutor of the agency also added that all the work was done on the "remote" format. It took about six months to negotiate and agree on a technical solution, and the technology implementation took only a couple of hours.
According to the Elecard website, Nepal TV is the first and most popular TV channel in Nepal. Founded in January 1985. Today it is the only channel covering most of the country. Its work is aimed at protecting local cultures and strengthening national unity. According to the director of Elecard, the scale of Nepal TV can be compared to the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Russia.
