TOMSK, Oct 16 – RIA Tomsk. Atom-TOR management company (engaged in operational management of the Seversk priority social and economic development area) signed an agreement with the seventh resident; this status was received by TEFRA company, which intends to implement a project for the processing of ash and slag, the press service of the Tomsk region administration reported.

It was previously reported that in 2019, the Russian authorities established the priority social and economic development area with a specialization in high-tech chemistry, medical industry, nuclear materials, engineering and IT in closed administrative territorial unit Seversk. Each resident, having invested at least 10 million rubles in production, will receive benefits: contributions to the social insurance fund will be 7.6%, as opposed to the standard 30%, income tax - 5% instead of 20%.

"The management company of the priority social and economic development area Atom-TOR JSC has signed agreements on activities at the Seversk PSEDA with TEFRA LLC. (The Company) plans to implement a project for the final processing of ash and slag materials. The investments will amount to about 430 million rubles", – is said in the message.

By the end of the year, Atom-TOR expects to register six more residents in the Seversk PSEDA. Experts are currently reviewing their projects and business plans. It is assumed that investments in projects will exceed 4.5 billion rubles, and the launch of production will create more than 400 jobs, says the report.

"Seversk priority social and economic development area - is one of the promising areas for the development of a closed city. A special legal regime here creates the most favorable conditions for business and contributes to an increase in the number of business entities", – the press service quotes the deputy governor for economy Andrey Antonov.

To date, six companies have had the status of residents of the Seversk PSEDA – VAB-70 (production of non-standard equipment for nuclear energy and defense industry), Sibirskiy Titan ("Siberian Titanium") (production of titanium dioxide), MK-Polymer (composite compounds for the cable industry), Tomsk-Azot, Severskkabel (production of cable products) and PSK "TomBat" (production of cast-iron heating batteries).
