RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) to get more than 10 bln rub from its project
"Communication Systems and Microelectronics" by 2024, Rector Victor
Rulevsky said at a workshop on preparation of an application to participate in
competition to create world-class research and educational center of the Tomsk
region.
According to
him, within the framework of the "Communication Systems and
Microelectronics" project it is planned to develop seven technologies:
communication systems of a new generation of 5G and 6G and technological
communication, space communication and telemetry, cognitive radio systems, a
modern electronic component base of microelectronics and radio photonics,
measuring and control instruments for promising communication systems and their
components, as well as service support.
"As a
consequence of the implementation of these areas, a total contribution to the
region's GDP of about 10 billion rubles is expected by 2024", – Rulevsky
said, adding that the amount was detailed in the roadmap for the implementation
of new technological solutions and in total will amount to about 10.8 billion
rubles.

TUSUR is also
considering a more optimistic option: if the project is provided with
additional grant support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and
the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the revenue can almost double – up to 20
billion rubles, the rector added.
According to
him, it is planned that the products and technological solutions created within
the framework of the project will be tested and commercialized not only in
Russia, but also on the international market.
