RIA Tomsk. Tomsk State University (TSU)
in 2021 will be able to enroll almost 3.8 thousand people for state-funded
education at all levels of training, the executive secretary of the TSU
admission committee Evgeny Pavlov told RIA Tomsk on Wednesday.

Earlier it was
reported that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian
Federation increased the number of state-funded places in the universities of
the Russian Federation for 2020/2021, in general by 9%. In Tomsk universities
the number of state-funded places increased by 24.3% (almost 4 thousand). At
TSU additional places at the bachelor's degree studies will appear in the
directions of "Physics", "Information Systems and
Technologies", "Software Engineering" and
"Innovation".
"Compared
to 2020, in 2021 there are 815 more state-funded places (at TSU). In 2020 there
were about 2900 places. And in 2021 - about 3750. These are all levels of
training - bachelor's, specialist, master's and postgraduate studies", –
Pavlov said.
He emphasized
that in 2021 TSU will have more state-funded places than other Tomsk
universities.
