TOMSK, Nov 16 – RIA Tomsk. The educational programs of Tomsk State University (TSU) of engineering profile have passed international professional and public accreditation; according to the results of the audit, they will be awarded the European quality label EUR-ACE (EURopean ACcredited Engineer), the press service of the university reported on Monday.
According to the university, within the framework of accreditation, experts of the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER) conducted interviews with students, alumni, teachers and employers for three days. In particular, representatives of engineering industry enterprises - partners of the university confirmed their interest in graduates of accredited programs.
"The educational programs "Computer systems security analysis", "Radio electronic information transfer systems", "Instruments and devices of nanophotonics", "Thermophysics" and "Computer modeling in engineering thermophysics and aerohydrodynamics" has successfully passed the external online audit", - says the release.

It is noted that according to the results of the audit, the experts made a number of recommendations, the implementation of which will improve the preparation of students. In particular, the university is recommended to expand the practice of students on the basis of specialized enterprises, since it will not only form the professional skills of graduates, but also reduce the time for adaptation during further employment.
It is specified that decisions on the accreditation of TSU educational programs will be made in the near future. The accredited programs will enter the AEER register, the pan-European register of accredited engineering programs of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), and will be awarded the EUR-ACE European quality label.
Earlier it was reported that a number of TSU programs already have international and professional public accreditation. So, in 2020, programs in the areas of "Philology" and "Publishing" of the Faculty of Philology passed external expertise, in 2019 one of the bachelor's programs of the Faculty of Journalism of TSU received international accreditation for a period of 6 years.
