TSU lecture on military opera won the All-Russian competition

TOMSK, Nov 27 – RIA Tomsk. Veronika Krivopalova, a teacher at the Institute of Arts and Culture of Tomsk State University (TSU), recorded a video lecture on military operas, including "The Dawns Here Are Quiet", and won the Grand Prix of the All-Russian competition in musical-theoretical disciplines, the university's website reported on Friday.

It is specified that the competition was held remotely in October and November among teachers and students of music schools, art schools and other educational institutions of Russia. Krivopalova's lecture became the best in the nomination "Pedagogical creativity (competition of video lessons)".

“Already in the first years of the war, a large number of operas appeared, written both by composers of the second and third echelons and by well-known authors. These works were repeatedly staged after the end of the war, but nowadays they have been practically forgotten. In her lecture, Veronika Krivopalova spoke about three operas about the Great Patriotic War", - is said in the message.

It is added that the video lesson is dedicated to the operas "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" by Kirill Molchanov, "Passenger" by Mieczyslaw (Moisei) Weinberg, Grigory Fried's mono-opera "The Diary of Anne Frank".
