TOMSK, Dec 17 – RIA Tomsk. The volume of exports of timber, lumber and finished wood products from the Tomsk region for 11 months of 2020 amounted to 1,56 million cubic meters and exceeded the indicators for the entire 2019; China is the main consumer of Tomsk roundwood (52%), according to the website of the regional department of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
Earlier it was reported that the volume of exports of timber and wood products from the Tomsk region in 2019 reached 1,4 million cubic meters. The main consumer of Tomsk timber was Uzbekistan (47% of the total volume of timber export), 32% is sent to the PRC, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan each received 8% of the volume of timber exports.
"For 11 months in the Tomsk region were certified (for export) 6,4 thousand cubic meters of round timber, 1,45 million cubic meters of sawn timber, 44,4 thousand cubic meters of other lumber (a total of 1,56 million cubic meters - Ed.). Exports of sawn timber for 11 months amounted to 42% to Uzbekistan, 31% to China, 13% to Kyrgyzstan, 7% to Kazakhstan; 2% to Vietnam and Tajikistan", - reports Rosselkhoznadzor.
Most of the exports of round (unprocessed) timber - 52% of the total - falls on China, 20% of "round timber" goes to Kyrgyzstan, 12% to Kazakhstan. China also receives the largest volume (93%) of other timber, 3% goes to Vietnam.
But the Russian regions received insignificant volumes of Tomsk timber: 12 990 cubic meters of "round timber" were received by the Altai Krai, 210 cubic meters - Primorsky Krai, 175 "cubes" - Karelia, 90 "cubes" - Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. 831,5 cubic meters of sawn timber were sent to the Altai Krai, 210 cubic meters to the Moscow region, 180 cubic meters to the Crimea and 87,6 cubic meters to the Primorsky Krai.
