TOMSK, Feb 15 – RIA Tomsk. The
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) confirmed
international accreditation of the master's program of the Institute of
Economics and Management (IEM) of Tomsk State University (TSU); this is
one of three Russian master's degrees in finance, leading in the number
of accredited disciplines, the university’s press service said.
It
is noted that ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
is a global professional association founded in 1904 in Great Britain.
ACCA offers highly sought-after professional financial qualifications
that help build successful careers in finance, accounting, auditing and
management in virtually every country in the world.
"The
master's degree of IEM TSU "Finance and Accounting in Organizations" has
confirmed its international accreditation in the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Today it is one of the three
Russian master's degrees in finance, leading in the number of accredited
disciplines and available exam exemptions", – is said in the statement.
ACCA
professional certification is one of the most prestigious in the field
of finance, the press service notes. Currently, not only Russians, but
also students from China, Palestine, Jordan and other countries are
being trained in this specialty, says the report.

After
completing their studies, graduates, when applying for a job abroad,
will be exempted from passing four basic level exams (F1 – F4) –
Business and Technology; Management Accounting; Financial Accounting;
Corporate and Business Law, and five advanced level exams (F5 – F9) –
Management Accounting, Taxation in the Russian Federation, Financial
Accounting and Reporting in accordance with IFRS; Audit; Financial
Management.
"Only 21 Russian universities have programs
accredited in ACCA. We received the first accreditation for this program
in 2015 and at once for the maximum number of disciplines. It was
important for us to confirm the status of the program, the high-quality
standard, the compliance of the exam content in terms of depth of study
and breadth of topics", – the press service quotes Director of the TSU
Center for Accreditation of Educational Programs Tatyana Rudenko.
