Tomsk. NeftInnovatsiya received the right to use subsoil at two sites in the
Kargasok and Bakcharsk districts of the Tomsk region, where the search and
assessment of hydrocarbon deposits will be carried out, the press service of
the regional administration said on Friday.
"The commission for
consideration of issues on granting the right to use subsoil plots made a
decision on granting the subsoil use right to Research and Production
Enterprise OOO NeftInnovatsiya for the purpose of geological exploration of the
Yuzhno-Konechny (Kargasok district) and Rusinovsky subsoil plots (Bakcharsk
district)... Geological study provides for prospecting and evaluation of
hydrocarbon deposits," informs the press service.
In the message of the
regional administration, it is specified that the right to use subsoil plots is
granted for five years. The search for raw materials will be carried out at the
expense of the company.
"OOO Research and
Production Enterprise NeftInnovatsiya has been engaged in projects for the
search and exploration of promising subsoil areas for hydrocarbon raw materials
since 2018. One of the main founders of the enterprise is the Institute of Petroleum
Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences," the
press service of the regional administration added.
As an employee of the
regional subsoil management department explained to RIA Tomsk, in the
territories of these areas, work on the search for hydrocarbon deposits has
never been carried out.
Earlier it was reported
that the reserves of traditional oil fields in the Tomsk region are running
out, in 2025 this will lead to a reduction in production from 10 to 5 million
tons per year. Gazprom Neft has launched the Paleozoic project in the region to
develop hard-to-recover oil reserves from pre-Jurassic deposits.
In 2020, 21.9 billion
rubles were invested in the oil and gas industry in the Tomsk region, the total
investment in the economy and social sphere of the region amounted to 10.2
billion rubles.
