RIA Tomsk. A charter flight from May 3
will connect Tomsk and the Turkish resort of Antalya, flights will be operated
once every two weeks by Royal Flight, the website of Tomsk Bogashevo Airport
reported. However, the final decision on the resumption of flights with Turkey
has not yet been made, a representative of the airport's press service told RIA
Tomsk.
Earlier it was
reported that on March 27, 2020, Russia closed regular and charter
international flights due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus. The last
charter flew to Tomsk airport on March 29: the flight Phu Quoc (Vietnam) – Tomsk
was operated by Azur Air, there were 237 passengers on board, in Tomsk they
were met by employees of Rospotrebnadzor and the regional Administration of
Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Flight
Tomsk – Antalya, departure 5.00 (departure airport time), arrival 7.10 (arrival
airport time). Royal Flight Airlines. The aircraft type is Boeing 757,"
the website says.

The first flight
from Tomsk is scheduled for May 3, the frequency of subsequent ones – once
every two weeks, follows from the information on the website.
However, as the
representative of the Tomsk airport said to RIA Tomsk, the final decision on
the resumption of flights with Turkey has not yet been made.
According to
Interfax, Nordwind Airlines also requested slots for flights to Turkey.
Earlier it was
also reported that the passenger traffic of the Tomsk airport in 2020 amounted
to about 348.5 thousand people, which is 54% lower compared to 2019. The drop
in this indicator in Tomsk is the maximum among the airports of Siberia.
