Participants of the Tomsk regional stage of the All-Russian Startup
Tour competition to attend online a number of educational sessions from
the speakers of Skolkovo and Moscow universities and learn how to create
a successful international company and what mistakes should not be made
when presenting projects to investors, the organizers told.

it was reported that the Tomsk regional stage of the Startup Tour 2021
technology projects competition will be held on April 26 online – on the
startup-tour.ru
website, teams from the cities of the Russian Federation, as well as
Belarus and the UK will take part in it. Among the regions of the
Russian Federation in terms of the number of submitted applications, the
Tomsk region is in the lead – 62 from Tomsk and three from Seversk.
According
to the organizers, the Startup Tour will host a panel discussion
"Ecosystem of the Tomsk Region. From Piloting to Digitalization" with
the participation of representatives of the Skolkovo Foundation, Tomsk
regional administration and Center for innovative development of the
region, VEB Ventures, Center for Digital Development of the Agency for
Strategic Initiatives, Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and
Engineering Chemical Technology Center of Tomsk State University (TSU).
"Chairman
of the Board of Directors of Skolkovo Ventures Pekka Viljakainen will
tell what is necessary to create a successful international company, and
Larisa Katysheva, Director of the Center for Modern Communications of
the GSPM RANEPA, will name the mistakes that technology entrepreneurs,
according to investors, most often make in their presentations," – said a
representative of the organizing company.
According to
Irina Khaletskaya, Director of the Center for Innovative Development of
the Tomsk region, “all development tools (of technological startups) in
(our) region perfectly fulfill their tasks, and most importantly, we
have someone to work with: in the region there are more than 1000
technology companies, new "stars" appear every year.

Startup
Tour is an international project of the Skolkovo Foundation aimed at
discovering and supporting young innovative entrepreneurs in the
regions. It conducts regional stages in several cities of the Russian
Federation. The winner of the grand final receives a prize of 300
thousand rubles and a trip to the semifinal of Startup Village. Since
2011, the project has visited more than 100 cities, experts have
considered more than 15 thousand applications. The Startup Tour stage
planned for 2020 in Tomsk did not take place because of the COVID-19
epidemic.
In 2021, the Startup Tour will be held online,
covering eight cities – Tver, Ufa, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, St.
Petersburg, Krasnodar, Tomsk, Murmansk. The organizers of the event are
the Skolkovo Foundation and ANO SK Forum. Participation is free.
