TOMSK, Apr 29 –
RIA Tomsk. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will hold the
Day of Italy in May, which will be attended by scientists from leading Italian
universities; together with polytechnics they will discuss scientific trends
and possible joint projects, TPU Associate Professor Antonio Di Martino told
RIA Tomsk on Thursday.
According to the
press service of the university, the Day of Italy will take place on May 13.
Topics for discussion will be various scientific research in the field of
biotechnology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, green chemistry, agriculture and
others. The seminar is organized by the TPU Research School of Chemistry &
Applied Biomedical Sciences.
"TPU is a
significant university on the map of international cooperation. We invited
Italian scientists to the seminar to find common projects for collaboration. We
will discuss science, projects of universities of the two countries. I believe
that cooperation with TPU has great prospects for leading universities of
Italy," said the interlocutor of the agency.
He said that he
first came to TPU about five years ago, as a student. Participated in the
scientific work of the TPU Research School of Chemistry & Applied
Biomedical Sciences. Currently, he works as an assistant professor at the
School and hopes to launch new joint projects between TPU and Italian
selected and invited Italian scientists, for them the conference will be held
on the TPU online platform. TPU scientists will participate in an offline
format. However, everyone can join the seminar," the scientist added.

seminar there are Dr. Susanna Chiocca from the European Institute of Oncology,
research hospital and treatment center (Milan), Professor Marco Salerno from
the Italian Institute of Technology (Genoa), Dr. Cleofe Palocci from the
Sapienza University of Rome and other.
