TOMSK, May 18 – RIA Tomsk.
Special information signs that in Russian and English tell tourists
about sights and other interesting objects are established in the six
districts of the Tomsk region, the Chairman of the Committee for the
Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism of the Tomsk region Irina
Lakhtionova told RIA Tomsk.
According to her, information
signs for tourists appeared in Asino, Parabel, Pervomaisk, Bakchar,
Verkhneketesk and Kolpashevo districts of the Tomsk region.
"Navigation
signs will inform both tourists who come to our districts on their own
and residents of the Tomsk region about the existence of cultural and
historical attractions, interesting locations and sites to visit", –
Lakhtionova explained, adding that the signs are made according to GOST;
they have names of attractions and directions to them in Russian and
English.
She specified that, in particular, such signs are
installed at Pervomaisky Arbat, near Artlife Zaimka near Yanov farm in
Pervomaisk district, and also near the ethnographic museum of Selkup
traditional culture and life under the open sky Chumel Chvech, near
Oskin Lake and the hot spring Chisty Yar in Parabel.
In
Kolpashevo, previously installed navigation signs were supplemented with
shields with information about already lost, but important for the
history of the district, which help visualize tours (Togur timber
processing plant, Kolpashevo fish processing plant).
In
addition, Lakhtionova said that the previously published Tourist Map of
the Tomsk region can be obtained in the Tourist Information Center on
Novosobornaya Square, as well as in museums, hotels, cafes and
restaurants in Tomsk.
