2 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk will host the N.I.C.E. (New Italian Cinema Event) festival
in September 2021; it's agreed upon by the Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey
Zhvachkin and the Banca Intesa Chairman of the Board of Directors and the
President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association Antonio Fallico, the press
service of the regional administration said on Wednesday.
It is
specified that the meeting took place within the framework of the St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum. Earlier it was reported that Fallico
visited Tomsk in April during the first visiting session of the Verona Eurasian
Economic Forum. At his meeting in St. Petersburg he offered Zhvachkin to
organize a festival of new Italian cinema N.I.C.E. in Tomsk in September.
"European
film festivals have already become a good tradition for Tomsk thanks to our
cooperation with the EU delegation in Russia. I hope the epidemic situation
will not impede our plans and we will have N.I.C.E.," Zhvachkin is quoted
in the report.
The press
service also informs that the governor and the banker agreed to study the
possibilities to increase the trade turnover between Tomsk and Italian business
to create joint productions. Details of cooperation will be discussed at the
Eurasian Economic Forum, where the delegation of Tomsk region has been invited.
The forum will be held in Verona in October 2021.
"We
have developed a roadmap for the development of cooperation between the Tomsk
region and Italy. We are ready for new joint projects in science, innovations,
agro-industrial complex, food industry," Zhvachkin summed up.
