TOMSK, Oct 18 - RIA Tomsk. Tomsk holding company KDV is buying a plant which produces sauces under Calve and Baltimor brands, KDV spokeswoman Nelya Kostyaeva told RIA Tomsk on Monday.
On Monday, Kommersant reported on the deal between Unilever and KDV Group. The international corporation is selling its Calve and Baltimor sauce production to the Tomsk holding company. KDV will be able to sell Calve sauces in Russia and CIS countries, and Baltimor sauces worldwide. The amount of the deal was not specified.
"Baltimor means ketchups, tomato sauces, Calve has always been just sauces. The holding company (KDV) does not have its own sauce production, it will be a new production. We are buying it to modernize and expand our production capacity and premises," Kostyaeva said.
Kommersant specifies that KDV intends to modernize and expand production in Tula.
According to the SPARK-Interfax information and analytical system, KDV Group LLC was registered in Tomsk in 2004. The company is part of the holding company KDV JSC and in turn owns or co-founded several other companies, such as KDV Brand Rus LLC in Tomsk and KDV Agroholding LLC in Moscow.
