TOMSK, July 16 – RIA Tomsk. Scientists from Tomsk State University (TSU) and Tomsk scientific research institute of oncology together with the staff of Heidelberg University (Germany) will study influence of viruses on development of cancer processes in a human body, the head of Tomsk scientific research institute of oncology Evgeny Choynzonov reported RIA Tomsk.
It was reported Earlier that professor of Heidelberg university Harald zur Hausen who got the Nobel Prize for researches of the Human papillomavirus at the beginning of July visited Tomsk. He took part in oncology conference. He got the rank of the honorary doctor of TSU.
"Tomsk State University, institute of oncology and laboratory will actively cooperate with German Cancer Research Center; reveal viruses, their influence on development of tumor processes in intestines, in genitals, in a liver. <…> It will be joint researches between our Tomsk pool and Heidelberg university", – Choynzonov told.
He added that the agreement on the beginning of the program of training within which one of Tomsk scientists will work at the Heidelberg University within a year is reached with Germany."Originally the arrangement about six months training, but we decided that it will be for a year", – Choynzonov noted.
