TOMSK, Mar 25 – RIA Tomsk. Implementation of the project "INO Tomsk" allowed, despite the economic situation, to keep enterprises of the region and create new jobs, develop social sphere, as well as to attract investments into the Tomsk region, the head of the region Sergey Zhvachkin informed at the session of the project working group on Friday.
Earlier it was informed that the prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in 2015 signed the government decree on the actualization of the project innovative territorial cluster "INO Tomsk" up to 2020, with taking into account the interests of inhabitants of the region, research and education complex and real sector of economy. Project activities will cost up to 2020 year more than 200 billion rubles.
"We have provided in advance how to maintain existing production and, most importantly, to create for people new jobs. We managed to involve in science and education additional billion investments of the state and private business. We have essentially advanced the social sphere, have started the formation of the new city image", – said Zhvachkin.
He has specified that the concept "INO Tomsk" – is the unique project of the complex regional development in Russia. And it was "extremely timely" in the conditions of a current economic situation.Zhvachkin has underlined that within the frameworks of "INO Tomsk" the region authorities are betting "not so much on the budget, but on coordination of resources of the participants". In particular, together with Foundation for Advanced Research Projects is to open the Siberian Center of Robotics and Perspective Research; with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, Federal Forestry Agency and Federal Agency for Fisheries created the first in Russia cluster of renewable natural resources.
"Tomsk region is ready to act as a pilot region – I suggest to establish a coordination headquarters on translational medicine with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science, Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Trade and establishments. It will allow to work together to remove translational barriers, which will accelerate the transformation of intellectual property into a concrete technique or technology of people treatment", – added Zhvachkin.
