TOMSK, Mar 25 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk authorities hope that created on the basis of six Tomsk scientific research institutes the National research medical centre will be able to attract the maximum federal funding, the governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin informed at the session of consulting council of the formed medical centre on Friday.
Earlier it was informed that Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations (FASO) of the Russian Federation creates the National Research Medical Centre on the basis of Tomsk scientific research institute (SRI) of Oncology. It will be joined by the SRI of Cardiology, SRI of Mental Health, SRI of Medical Genetics, SRI of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology and the Goldberg SRI of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine. The Medical Centre will be headed by the director of the SRI of Oncology Yevgeniy Choinzonov.
"We create the country's largest National Research Medical Center. It is the most complicated legal and economic process, which requires comprehensive analysis and, of course, support of the authorities. <…> (It's necessary) the maximum attraction of federal resources and investments. I am confident that both FASO and the Russian Academy of Sciences in this regard will be our partners", – told Zhvachkin.
He noted that the centre, which is due to open in 2016, should take into account the interests of all participating institutions."Work of the created centre will lean on our oldest schools of thought. Their traditions and their authority within the integration should be not just simply saved, but most importantly – to be enhanced. <…> But, in my opinion, the most important thing is– we all need to contribute as much as possible to the fast introduction of scientific developments in medical practice", – added Zhvachkin.
In turn, the head of the future medical centre Yevgeniy Choinzonov has informed that only in 2016 the organization plans to receive financing in the amount of 3.79 billion rubles, without considering funds from the mandatory health insurance fund and grants.
