TOMSK, May 12 – RIA Tomsk. Implementation of the projects of Tomsk scientists presented at the forum U-NOVUS-2016 in the sphere of robotics will attract milliard investments into the region economy, the head of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin considers.
The third forum of young scientists U-NOVUS takes place in Tomsk on May 12-13, 2016 and is devoted to robotics subject. Among the planned events of the forum there are an opening of the Siberian center of robotics, a national stage of the international competitions in robotics of RoboCup Russia Open 2016 and the All-Russian Science Game.
"I would estimate it more than milliard investments. All this, really, will be embodied in Tomsk and in Tomsk economy. <…> The effect (from implementation of projects) is huge. It will be great, I believe in it", - the head of the region has told.
Zhvachkin noted that some developments of Tomsk robotics are already being applied in practice, and added that the regional authorities intend in the future to support Tomsk innovators."I see the task of the authorities in guiding bridges between science, production and life. <…> And someone has to begin. Today there are a lot of centers connected with robotics, but I am proud that the first – is Tomsk", - the governor added.
According to the press service of the regional administration, the exhibition presents developments of 28 universities, academic institutes and hi-tech enterprises of Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Samara and Chelyabinsk regions and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
