TOMSK, May 13 – RIA Tomsk. The Siberian center of robotics which will be a branch of the Foundation for Advanced Research Projects in Tomsk, will open, allegedly, in June of this year, the Deputy CEO of the Foundation Igor Denisov reported on Friday within a round table at the forum U-NOVUS-2016.
Earlier it was reported that in January the governor Sergey Zhvachkin submitted to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin the project of creation of the Siberian center of robotics in Tomsk. It will become the first regional branch of the Foundation for Advanced Research Projects and will coordinate work of robotics throughout all Siberia. Tomsk experience is planned to be used during creation of the similar organizations in other regions.
"Opening of branch at the beginning of June is officially announced. <…> The main objective is – until the end of the year to create the program of activities for the main directions. The program will be the basis for work of branch and from next year is realized practically", - Denisov told.
He specified that, as well as was planned, robotics will become the main area of work of the center. It is planned that in new division will be concentrated competences of all directions of fund work: chemical and biological, physics and technology, information, medical and robotic technologies.Denisov noted that now there are already several projects which are planned to be realized in the Tomsk center. In particular, the project of the Russian scientists on creation of independent submersibles for research of the Arctic shelf in which Tomsk Polytechnic University participates.
Earlier it was reported that also specialists of the center will be engaged in creation of platforms for automation of robotics, complexes in the field of biomedicine and other developments.
The Foundation for Advanced Research Projects was created in Moscow on October 16, 2012. The foundation conducts researches on four main directions: chemical, biological and medical, physics and technology, information, robotic.
