TOMSK, Jul 25 – RIA Tomsk. Students of two Tomsk universities assembled prototype of the robot which finds small road holes by means of a camera and fills them up with a special emulsion, reported on Monday INO Tomsk portal.

Together with him students of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) participate in work. According to developers, the idea to make the robot road builder was born at them during trips on the car.
"Repair of small road holes is a problem which is solved difficult, it's expensive process. Our robot can help road builders. It is capable to work independently, but presence of the person is desirable not to fill up something extra", – Rachis is quoted in the message. It is explained that the robot by means of a camera finds a hole, drives up to it, scans it with the ultrasonic sensor and builds the card of depth, and then fills up a hole with a special emulsion. Students builded an exhibition prototype of the robot which was presented at the forum of strategic initiatives which took place in Moscow. The working prototype of the robot road builder can appear in a year or two.
