TOMSK, Oct 18 – RIA Tomsk. "Uniform window" for medical care of foreign students started in clinics of the first medical basic university of Russia SSMU in Tomsk, the rector of the university Olga Kobyakova reported to RIA Tomsk.
According to her, now foreign students can call "the hot line" of clinics of SSMU 8 913 820 15 03 by phone in case of problems with health. English-speaking doctor is in touch round the clock, he will help to organize the necessary help – from execution of the references necessary at settling to a hostel, to rendering specialized and high-tech medical care in a hospital.
"More than 10 thousand foreign students study in Tomsk, and we have to provide them the comfortable environment for accommodation. Having woken up at night because of acute pain, a person shouldn't be left because of a language barrier without any help", – Kobyakova told.She added that "uniform window" of medical care of foreign students is started within the project on development of medical tourism on the basis of clinics of SSMU.
According to the press service of SSMU, a student from Nigeria became the first who ddressed to "the hot line". At the moment 96 students received treatment in clinics of SSMU, these are representatives of such countries as Kazakhstan, India, Philippines, Bangladesh. Clinics provide full service escort of foreign students, undergraduates and graduate students of Tomsk and interaction with the staff of the international departments of other universities.
