TOMSK, Mar 17 – RIA Tomsk. The British edition Times Higher Education (THE) published the results of the world’s most international universities ranking, the top 200 included seven Russian universities, and Tomsk State University (TSU), located on the 146th line, became the second Russian university after Moscow State University, the press service of TSU reports on Saturday.
According to the press service, the Times Higher Education edition (THE) published the rating of the most international universities in the world, which included seven Russian universities, five of which are participants of the "5-100" project. In total, the published part of the rating included 200 universities from 30 countries. According to the website of the British edition, last year the top-200 rating on internationality of THE included only two Russian universities – the RUDN University and Moscow State University.
"TSU showed the best results among the Russian universities participating in the project <...> (the 146th place) ... Also the rating was entered by Lomonosov Moscow State University (131st place) and St. Petersburg State University (the 174th place)", – is said in the statement.
In the rating four indicators were taken into account: share of foreign university staff, share of foreign students, share of scientific publications written in collaboration with foreign scientists, and also the international reputation of the university, the press service informs.Earlier it was reported that Times Higher Education British magazine annually publishes one of the three most prestigious world rankings of universities (along with the ratings of QS World University Rankings and Academic Ranking of World Universities), as well as a number of subject ratings, including Arts & humanities, Business & Economics, Computer Science, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences.
