TOMSK, Dec 19 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk specialists and experts from Tatarstan will work together on a "road map" to preserve the historical appearance of Tomsk Tatar settlement; Tatarstan experience shows that conducting of significant events of the Russian and international level help to attract money from the state budget for restoration, reports the correspondent of RIA Tomsk.
Earlier it was reported that in November 2018 during the visit of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to the Tomsk region, the heads of regions signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. In particular, it implies cooperation in the field of preservation of historical and cultural monuments.
On Wednesday in Tomsk gathered scientists, local historians and officials of the Tomsk region and Tatarstan, who on behalf of the heads of the regions should create a "road map" to preserve the historical appearance of the Tomsk Tatar settlement. At the first meeting, the participants of the interregional working group discussed the experience of preserving the ancient architecture of Kazan.
According to the member of the working group – the head of the department of preservation of cultural heritage objects under the government of the Republic of Tatarstan Naila Khafizova, large-scale work on the restoration and reconstruction of the historical quarters of Kazan began with the celebration of the city’s millennium in 2005. The process continues thanks to, among other things, the raising of funds from the budget of the Russian Federation.
"It's about the Universiade, FIFA World Cup, Swimming World Cup, this year's it's WorldSkills Championship. We have already got used to doing something, putting it in order. It showed the willingness of (local) authorities to hold big events, and the federal forces trust us to continue ... You also need something (the Tomsk region), I mean, some kind of significant event", – Khafizova said RIA Tomsk.
According to the regional committee for the protection of cultural heritage, in the Tatar settlement of Tomsk there are 25 memorial houses, two of which are of federal significance. At the first stage of its work, the working group will create a collection of cultural heritage objects, including wooden houses that are not monuments.The Tatarskaya settlement of Tatars formed in Tomsk at the beginning of the XVII century. Here settled merchants and artisans from other regions of the country. By the end of the XIX century, Tatar settlement became one of the centers of Tatar culture in Siberia. Currently, many buildings of the settlement are architectural monuments, houses are gradually being restored.
