TOMSK, July 1 – RIA Tomsk. More than 140 foreign students graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). French, Ivorian, Greek and Indian citizens are alumni of TPU for the first time.
"Foreign students being studed at TPU got their diplomas. 141 students from 10 countries of the world finished their education this year. Students from France, Côte d'Ivoire and Greece got diplomas in TPU for the first time. The first girl from India graduated from TPU this year. <…> 49 foreigners got diplomas with honor (including the student from India)", – is told in the message.
Students from China, Mongolia, India, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Turkey and Vietnam got their TPU diplomas too. The majority were studying technical specialties: physics, mechanical engineering, oil and gas business, geology, electronics and nanoelectronics.
It is noted that students get to know about Tomsk University from acquaintances and relatives, and also from the Internet or in the embassies of their countries.
"I wanted to study technical science. The embassy helped me to choose, they told about Tomsk Polytechnic University. There is a very good technical school. Now I plan to come back home, have a job matching my qualification. Perhaps, I will continue my education in some years" — the press service quotes the student from Zimbabwe Tafadzva Mugvamba.
