Galazhinsky explained that such work is necessary. Not all authors write in English – the most common language, but not all Russian readers can read them in original language, it means that a number of the authors recognized in the world as "living classics" while are unknown in the Russian Federation. Thus sometimes the author is well-known to Russians, but they know his works only according to names.
According to the rector, the series will also help to pull together foreign and Russian scientific communities. In particular, those who will begin to prepare monographs for the edition will not just translate the text, but also they will communicate with the authors of the works.
He specified that books will appear in the directions: social humanities, natural and technical science, administrative sciences and interdisciplinary researches. The main selection criteria are crossing of research interests of the Russian and foreign scientists, popularity of the author in the world and existence serious and actual scientific works never published in Russian.
The rector noted that the first books of the series will appear this year – "Rational Discourse and Poetic Communication: Methods of Linguistic, Literary, and Philosophical Analysis" of one of the most authoritative experts in linguistics and semiotics Roland Posner and "Systems Thinking: Creative Holism for Managers" of the famous scientist dealing with problems of management Michael Christopher Jackson.
