TOMSK, Oct 22 - RIA Tomsk. The employee of laboratory of
transmitting cellular and molecular biomedicine of Tomsk State University (TSU)
Ekaterina Nikitina will pass semi-annual training under the leadership of the
Nobel laureate Harald Zur Hausen in Germany, the press service of the higher
education institution reported on Thursday.
It is reported that the Nobel laureate Harald Zur Hausen
took part in the international medical congress organized by TSU and scientific
research institute of oncology in July, 2015. After acquaintance to researches
which are conducted by the higher education institution, the scientist
suggested to send the employee of TSU for training in his laboratory in the
German oncological research center.
"As a trainee a young scientist elected Ekaterina
Nikitina was elected. The sphere of her scientific interests is similar to the
researches in which Harald Zur Hausen is engaged for many years", – deputy
director of the Center of high technologies in the field of medicine of TSU,
professor Irina Kurzina is quoted in the message.
As the press service adds, Nikitina graduated from
department of cytology and genetics of TSU Biological institute. Now the girl
is engaged in studying of mechanisms virus associated malignant new
growths. During the training she will master modern methods and technology of
identification of new groups of viruses which can be involved in development of
malignant tumors and encephalopathies.

As the press service adds, Nikitina graduated from
department of cytology and genetics of TSU Biological institute. Now the girl

As the press service of the higher education institution
specified, the girl will go to Germany soon when the necessary documents are
prepared. Besides the German oncological center she will work at the Heidelberg
university.
According to the higher education institution, professor Zur
Hauzen received the Nobel Prize on medicine and physiology in 2008 for opening
of an onco genicrole of a human papillomavirus. Researches of the scientist
became a basis for development of the preventive vaccine directed on the
prevention of development of malignant new growths. Its creation is one of the
major achievements in molecular biology and virology for all history of
existence of vaccination.
