TOMSK, Nov 10 – RIA Tomsk. The resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) of Tomsk JSC NPK Sintel starts production of implants with options of modification of a surface for treatment of bone fractures; producers plan to borrow to 5% of the Russian market, the press service of the SEZ reported on Tuesday.

It is specified that at the beginning of September the project on development and production of implants with the modified surface and antimicrobic properties was approved by advisory council at the Ministry of Economic Development. A preparatory work was completed in two months: pure rooms are equipped and the necessary equipment is installed.

"The company will release implants with options of modification of a surface. The special chemical composition of the covering and technology of its drawing on implants which can be used for an osteosynthesis at surgical treatment of patients with circumarticular fractures of tubular bones, in particular with fractures of proximal part of a humeral bone, is developed", – it is told in the message.

According to the director of the company Dmitry Mitrichenko, this production is unique as it allows not only to stabilize bone brokes off, but also to stimulate osteogenesis process, and this is with use of the minimum invasive operational access.

The company took out the patent for the development, and also passed certification, necessary for medical products. Submission of demands for useful models and the know-how mode is planned.

"By fifth year of implementation of the project the company plans to have to 5% of the Russian Federation market. The Russian scientific research institutes of traumatology and orthopedics, medical institutions specializing on recovery treatment will become buyers of the production", – the press service of the SEZ reports.
