TOMSK, Apr 22 – RIA Tomsk. Siberian governors will
join efforts on introduction of special visa rules for guests from Asia for
development of the regional tourism, the governor Sergey Zhvachkin has told,
answering questions of regional deputies on the annual report on work of the
authorities of the region.
On Friday Zhvachkin has reported to deputies of the
regional duma and the public on results of work of administration of the Tomsk
region in the past year, and also on plans for 2016.
"We are with the head of the Novosibirsk airport,
the former resident of Tomsk (Evgeny Yankilevich) have developed the whole
program. We want to try to obtain its realization through the government
(Russian Federation), we prepare documents. Novosibirsk is becoming a hub for
Asia today, and we are interested in a tourist's stream from China and other
countries", – the governor has told.

Zhvachkin has explained that now he addresses to the
government, with the purpose to make in respect of visitors from China and
other Asian countries the visa regime on the condition of the so-called
"delayed flight", when the foreigner for 72 hours has the right to
stay in Russia without a visa. For this work he is going to involve
governors-neighbors.
The head of the region has told that now trips to
Siberia are gaining popularity among tourists from Asian countries, adding that
he is currently working with colleagues from the Altai and Krasnoyarsk regions
on the creation of joint tourist routes.
