13 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk company "Kartomat technology" developed the
automatic machine which can completely automate the storage, registration and
issuance of bank cards; there are no similar devices in the world, the employee
of the company developer Alexander Bombizov reported RIA Tomsk on Friday.

Development
is presented within an exhibition of the third youth forum U-NOVUS which takes
place in Tomsk on May 12-13 and is devoted to robotics subject. Among the planned
events of the forum there are an opening of the Siberian center of robotics, a
national stage of the international competitions in robotics of RoboCup Russia
Open 2016 and the All-Russian Science Game.
As
Bogomazov explained, now operations on storage, registration and issuance of
bank cards are carried out manually. Because of it the possibility of a mistake
when sorting cards which thousands are stored in each branch of the bank isn't
excluded. And clients have to wait long in queues until their card is found.
Besides, operations with cards demand big temporary and labor costs.
"The
device has developed for full automation of work with cards – it means storage,
registration and issuance of bank cards. Now such devices don't exist", –
the interlocutor of agency told.
He
specified that, accepting the card, the automatic machine reads out its type,
owner data and number of the card. Kartomat is equipped with the touch screen
on which the operator can quickly find the necessary card, and in several
seconds to receive it.
Kartomat
has already passed the first tests and successfully works in Tomsk divisions of
Sberbank. According to calculations of specialists of bank, in a year kartomat
helps to save up to three thousand labor hours, its acquisition pays off within
1,5 years.
