12 – RIA Tomsk. The management of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Tomsk
summed up the competition results on the best names of cases of the SEZ
Southern platform; the resident of Tomsk who offered names, clear for
foreigners, on the basis of Latin became the winner.
Earlier it
was reported that in April the competition on names for three SEZ cases
started. Every resident of Tomsk could take part in it. Summing up took place
within solemn celebration of the 10 anniversary of the SEZ during the III forum
of young scientists U-NOVUS.
"Listen
sometimes in a taxi, when you go to the SEZ - we go to the case
"washer", "Titanic", just yellow case. Not really
pleasantly. The thought has arisen – we will hold a competition to give proper
names to cases, names which would represent spirit of the SEZ", – the CEO
of the Tomsk SEZ management company Konstantin Kaminsky told at the celebration
ceremony.
According
to him, even children participated in a competition . Among the offered options
– Beehive, Whistle, Cooler, Smilie and others. The concept of the resident of
Tomsk Olga Tolkatskaya was recognized as the best one.

"Inventum
(invention) – the case of the Center of innovations and technologies. Tehnum –
the engineering case. Vitum, that "life" in Latin means, – the
scientific and implementation center. Futurum – the engineering center under
construction. A spectrum – expocenter under construction. Our long dream – is
the administrative business center – for it the name Centrum is offered",
– Kaminsky read the best names.
He added
that Tolkatskaya as it become clear later, cooperates with the SEZ for several
years – accompanies foreign delegations.
"Names
are taken from Latin and correspond to the main name of the building. All names
ending in "um", that sends to intellectual activity of the people
working there. Besides, these names are clear to most of foreigners as Latin is
a basis of many European languages", – the resident of Tomsk commented on
the concept.
