TOMSK, Aug 15 – RIA Tomsk. Athletes from 19 countries submitted applications for participation in the World Cup final on swimming in flippers which will pass in Tomsk in September, 2016, the press service of the regional administration reported on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that the World Cup final on underwater sport will pass in Tomsk from September 9 to September 12, 2016. Within the frameworks of competitions carrying out the CMAS Super Sprint Cup is also planned. The center of water sports of the Olympic class "Zvezdniy" opened in 2015 has to become the platform for competitions.
"Athletes from 19 countries of five continents will take part in the World Cup final on swimming in flippers which will pass in Tomsk. <…> Athletes of Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Japan, Tunisia, Colombia, Mexico and Russia will fight for medals of the Cup", – is said in the message.
It is specified that the Russian athletes will arrive to competitions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Tula, Krasnoyarsk, Kropotkin, Biysk, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, Perm.
