TOMSK, Sep 8 – RIA Tomsk. The management of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) plans to hold the Finswimming World Championship 2017 in Tomsk, the president of the organization Anna Arzhanova told journalists on Thursday.
Earlier it was reported that the World Cup finals on Finswimming will pass in Tomsk from September 9 to September 12, 2016. Within the competitions the CMAS Super Sprint Cup is also planned. The center of water sports of the Olympic class "Zvezdniy" opened in 2015 has to become the platform for competitions.
"Holding of the Finswimming World Championship in Tomsk in this pool is planned for the next year. Now this is even not the dress rehearsal, is a practical rehearsal. We are happy that these competitions will take place in Tomsk, Tomsk is a cradle of underwater sport in Russia… At us here is one of the best international offices", – Arzhanova told.
The president of the regional federation of underwater sport Natalya Grechikhina noted, in turn, that the planned dates of the World Championship – from July 31 to August 7, 2017.
