TOMSK, Sep 11 – RIA Tomsk. The world cup-final on finswimming has officially come to the end in Tomsk on Sunday, the Tomsk Region team has won total all-team competition following the results of all stages of competitions, the correspondent of RIA Tomsk reports from the place of events.
Earlier it was reported that the world cup-final on finswimming opened in Tomsk on Saturday. Athletes from 18 countries of the world participated in competitions. Heats passed among adult athletes and juniors. World cup-final on finswimming is the seventh and final stage of competitions in 2016. Earlier stages of the tournament passed in Poland, Hungary, Italy, France, Colombia and Turkey.
The official closing ceremony of the tournament took place on Sunday evening in the Tomsk Center of water sports "Star".
As the correspondent of RIA Tomsk reports, during the closing ceremony rewarding of winners both final stage of world cup and the best in all-team competition took place. The president of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Anna Arzhanova and the deputy governor of the Tomsk region Alexander Fedenev handed awards. The Tomsk Region team became the winner in all-team competition following the results of all World Cup stages in swimming – 2016. The second place has the team of Ukraine; the third is the team of the Czech Republic.
The athletes from the Tomsk region became winners of final stage of world cup, which passed in Tomsk: residents of Tomsk have won 25 medals, eight from them are gold. The second place athletes from the Krasnoyarsk Krai took, and the third – representatives of the Chelyabinsk region.
As it is reported on the website of the regional federation of sport, the sports show will take place in Tomsk on September 12 – the Cup of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) for supersprint in which 16 strongest submariners of the world will take part. Beginning of the heats is at 19:00. During the show there will be an online broadcasting.
