TOMSK, Feb 6 – RIA Tomsk, Evgenia Plankina. Football team of the foreign students came to Tomsk State University (TSU), it included students from Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, Algeria, Taiwan and Zimbabwe; the Russian-speaking student will train them, it will allow foreigners to pull up the Russian language, the press service of the university reports on Monday.
It is specified that the idea to gather the foreign football team belongs to the staff of management of international relations of TSU. It was supported by students from Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, Algeria, Taiwan and Zimbabwe. The student of faculty of physical culture of TSU Artemy Artemenko who writes the term paper on the subject "Arena football as means of physical recreation" became the coach of the foreign team.
"We hope that trainings with the Russian-speaking trainer will help our foreigners to break a language barrier, will facilitate adaptation in the new environment and culture, and also will let them to feel a part of our university community. Besides, a game promotes advance of the idea of mass student's sport", – staff of management is quoted in the message.
It is noted that for trainings the management of faculty of physical culture allocated to students the gym. And every Sunday the new team plays joint matches with the staff of JSC Tomsk generation and students of Power institute of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). Organizers of team consider that foreigners have a chance to take the worthy place among university collectives.
It is added that now in TSU there takes place the Health and Sport festival, which problem – to make sports activities more available to employees and students of university.
