RIA Tomsk. Rosatom will allocate 9
billion rubles in 2017 for the "Proryv" project which is implemented
at the Siberian Chemical Plant (SCP, is included into fuel company of Rosatom
TVEL), the press service of the regional administration reported on Thursday.
Rosatom since 2011 realizes at the Siberian Chemical
Plant the project "Proryv" on creation of the latest fuel at which
the nuclear power will work after 2020. In Seversk (the closed satellite town
of Tomsk) as a part of PDPC there will be a reactor BREST-OD-300 installation
with a station nuclear fuel cycle, and also production of uranium - plutonium
(nitride) fuel for reactors on fast neutrons.

It is specified that the governor of the Tomsk region
Sergey Zhvachkin discussed the current questions of activity of SCP in 2017 and
the course of implementation of the "Proryv" project with the head of
Rosatom Alexey Likhachev, and also with the head of TVEL fuel company Yury
Olenin.
"Alexey Evgenyevich (Likhachev) confirmed that in
2017 9 billion rubles will be allocated for the "Proryv" project, 7
billion will be allocated by Rosatom. Besides, we agreed with Rosatom about
synchronization of a conclusion from operation of the outdated equipment on
productions of SCP with the schedule of implementation of the
"Proryv" project, – is quoted Zhvachkin in the message, following the
results of a meeting.
According to the governor, Likhachev will check pace
of construction personally during the visit to the Tomsk region in the second
half of the 2017 year. "I can declare that the state corporation fulfills
all obligations to the Tomsk region and residents of Seversk. Rosatom
modernizes atomic production, and it, without exaggeration, is the new word in
world nuclear power", – Zhvachkin noted.
