TOMSK, Jun 21 – RIA Tomsk. Tomsk classical and Tomsk polytechnic universities (TSU and TPU) were included into group 251-300 of rating of the best universities of Europe, made by Times Higher Education (THE Europe), is reported on Wednesday on the rating website.
Times Higher Education University Rankings (THE) is one of the most influential annual world rankings of universities, is formed by the Times Higher Education magazine.
As the rating website informs there are 400 European universities in it, including 24 Russian. TPU and TSU have entered group 251-300.
TSU got 38,2 of 100 points for quality of teaching, 48 for international activity, 22,8 for scientific activity, 15,4 for quoting, 61,8 on profitability indicator. Quality of teaching was estimated at TPU on 31,3 points, international activity – on 40,6, scientific activity – on 16,2, quoting – 43,2, profitability – 59,1 points.
The Tomsk universities entered top-10 among Russian institutions which got to rating. Moscow State University of Lomonosov (the 93rd place among universities of Europe) became the first of universities of the Russian Federation, the second place was taken by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (151-160), the third is ITMO University from St. Petersburg (191-200).
Earlier it was reported that TPU and TSU have settled down in group 501-600 in the world ranking of THE of 2016.
